1988 Beatty Zinfandel

Warm temperatures at the outset of the vintage fully ripened this cool, Howell Mountain vineyard. For depth and richness, we included twenty-five percent whole clusters in the fermentation. The resultign fruit and rounder tannins are evident in this lovely zinfandel, made in limited quantity especially for our Advanced Tasting Program. Though the wine is approachable now, its underlying structure ensures five years of continuing development. PD (3/90)

Our winery and estate vineyards are located above 2300 feet on Monte Bello Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountains, overlooking San Francisco and the Bay Area.
