As you likely have heard on the news, there are major fires in Napa and Sonoma that began late Sunday night. While the fires were coming from all directions they never got close enough to damage the winery.
Although many wineries have been significantly impacted we have been spared the worst of it. The winery at Lytton Springs is unharmed as well as our estate vineyards in Sonoma County. The production facility is operational and we continue to perform critical tasks. Additionally, we completed the harvest in Sonoma on Saturday so the grapes picked in that region were not impacted by smoke or fire.
Several of our employees have been evacuated from their homes but all are safe. Communications in the area continues to be very challenging. Most people in Healdsburg and Petaluma are housing friends and relatives impacted by the fires.
The fires continue to spread, and our thoughts are with all of the firefighters, first responders, and those living in the area.
