One of the last rituals we have today is wine. Gathering friends at the table, breaking bread, creating memories – it’s all part of what we experience when we enjoy a bottle of wine.
Celebrated wine writer Karen MacNeil saw a need this year to emphasize the message that celebrates wine’s history as a communal beverage. In partnership with co-founders Gino Colangelo of Colangelo & Partners and Kimberly Charles of Charles Communications Associates, Karen created Come Over October, a simple but powerful idea to encourage folks to gather over a glass of wine.
Early on, Ridge Vineyards enthusiastically joined the Come Over October movement. We hope you’ll join us by inviting your friends, family, and colleagues to “come over” during the month of October to share wine and celebrate friendship and in-person connection.
Ways to Participate
The beauty of Come Over October is that everyone can participate in their own way. Gather with us at our two winery locations, host your friends and family at home, or get creative and make up a new ritual. The possibilities are endless.

Guests who visit Ridge Vineyards for any tasting experience during the month of October will receive a complimentary pour from our library wine list. Ask your host about the featured wine of the day.
